Program-Based Qualification Method:

You can qualify for Lifeline in Texas if you or another person in your household is enrolled in any one of these qualifying public assistance programs:

Tribal Lands Qualification:

If you live on Tribal lands in Texas, you may also qualify through:

  • Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance
  • Head Start (only households meeting the income qualifying standard)
  • Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (Tribal TANF)
  • Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations

Income-Based Qualification:

You can also qualify if your household income is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines, based on household size.
