Program-Based Qualification Method:
You can qualify for Florida Lifeline if you or another person in your household is enrolled in any one of these qualifying public assistance programs:
- Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Medicaid
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
- Federal Public Housing Assistance (Section 8)
- Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit
Additional Tribal Qualifications:
If you live on a federally recognized tribal land, you may also qualify through:
- Bureau of Indian Affairs for Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
- Head Start Subsidy
- National School Lunch Program
Hurricane Relief Qualification:
If you, your child, or dependent are enrolled in FEMA's Individuals and Households Program (IHP) because of Hurricane Helene or Milton, you also qualify for Lifeline assistance.
Documents you'll need
- Proof of program participation: A recent award letter, benefit card, or screenshot from your benefits portal.
- Proof of income (if income-qualifying): Last year's tax return, three consecutive pay stubs, or a statement of benefits.
- Proof of identity: Driver's license, state ID, passport, or tribal ID.
- Proof of Florida residence: Utility bill, lease, or mortgage statement.
